Sound Dialogues: What Do Cities Tell Us? is an experimental audiovisual performance that listens to the city as a living system. Developed in collaboration with NCDIA Unifor during a residency in Fortaleza, the work draws a sonic comparison between two cities under ecological and social pressure: Fortaleza (Brazil) and Guayaquil (Ecuador). Using a custom-coded platform that translates urban dynamics into algorithmic musical compositions, Tandazo engages with technology both as a critical and poetic tool. Unfolding in three acts –Water, Human Beings, and The City– and inspired by the Andean philosophy of Sumak Kawsay (Good Living), the work reflects on the loss of balance between nature, territory, and urban life, inviting the audience to imagine more just, sensitive, and interconnected urban futures through the act of listening.
