Since 2012, organisations across Europe have been developing collaborations at the nexus of Science + Technology + ART

This space aims at gathering the articles, papers, reports and toolkits produced in the frame of the STARTS initiative, as well as productions that translate the results of residencies between artists, technologists and scientists.

Considering past S+T+ARTS experiences and the needs of the S+T+ARTS Community, in 2022, S+T+ARTS PRIZE launched the S+T+ARTS Cross-Fertilization Program, a program designed to support S+T+ARTS Prize recognised teams to further develop, scale up and exploit their projects. The teams had the opportunity to meet and discuss with high-level experts their ideas, projects and business plans. This e-book results from this Program, sharing with the whole S+T+ARTS Community and beyond some of the knowledge and tips offered by the high-quality experts involved in the S+T+ARTS Cross-Fertilization Program.

This brochure is designed to showcase some of the S+T+ARTS Prize’s and S+T+ARTS Programme’s success stories and most inspiring examples, as well as the impactful methodologies and approaches the Programme has developed over the years to trigger interdisciplinary and collaborative innovation in various fields of society.

This Tech/Art Transfer Toolbox has been designed by the Re-FREAM project as a reference document, which could be of interest to both artists and sci/tech experts.

This Manual has been created during project Re-FREAM as a tool to support Art/Tech co-creation practices during the 9 months residency period funded by the projects.

Over three years, artists, designers, scientists and industry experts entered into the Re-FREAM co-creation processes. They strived to develop fashion based on shared values, shared processes and shared cultures. Read more in the Re-FREAM Manifesto.

RECODE FASHION transfers the knowledge created in Re-FREAM, a collaborative research project where selected artists and designers teamed up with a community of scientists to rethink the manufacturing process of the fashion industry.
