Luce van Kempen

Crown-appointed member, Social Economic Council

Luce van Kempen (1994) is a crown-appointed member of the Dutch Socio-Economic Council. As the youngest crown member ever, she focuses on intergenerational solidarity and sustainability.Furthermore, she is a supervisory director of the Young Climate Movement and holds various advisory positions at, amongst others, the Dutch Education Inspectorate and Young Impact.

Previously, she was president of the National Youth Council (2017-2019) and chair of the the SER youth platform(2019-2020).

In 2019, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration & Organisation Science at Utrecht University and a master’s degree in Global Business & Sustainability at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.

After graduation, she will start as a corporate management trainee in the field of sustainability at KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines.
