Since the start in 1998 the ambition of ECP Platform for the Information Society, is to establish a successful and trusted digital society where everyone can thrive.

ECP is leading, from a neutral non-profit position, in organising breakthrough programmes in the Netherlands. ECP and its members from business, science, government, education and civil society foundations aim to stimulate the development of the information society, through creating the necessary economic, social, and political preconditions. A key element is to stimulate debate on ethics and technology; a debate that concerns the quality of life of all Dutch citizens as well as the economic competitiveness of the country.
