The Municipal Council of Covilhã organizes the first “Encounters with Culture” on May 3 and 4, in the Hall of the Town Hall.

The “Encounters with Culture” aim to be a space for sharing experiences, ideas and diversified projects, with the aim of helping agents, individuals and institutions in the region to reflect the city of Covilhã, its traditions and the territory in terms of public policies for Culture – against the new space of the Municipal Theater of Covilhã and the Center for Artistic Innovation.

This reflection will be made through a set of themes that will generate, in a continuous way, a thought – in a broader sense or in specific artistic areas – relative to aspects that will build the structural basis of the positioning of local cultural agents and creators in what concerns projects in network and of creation in partnership, that can assume the art and the culture like axes of qualification of the territory.

A contribution to the development of critical mass, responsibility and social commitment, strengthening of the sense of identity and belonging, that can be part of the process of building a better exercise of citizenship.

Luis Miguel Girao, Founder of Artshare, will present the STARTS initiative.
