S+T+ARTS AIR Livestream: Miller Puckette, Ideas around Ambisonics
S+T+ARTS AIR has connected with a Slovene intemedia festival, IZIS, to create and offer a series of three livestreams for this years’ edition of the festival, centred around Elementary particles.
Our first livestream, which you can join and watch this Sunday, 8th of October 2023 at 5 p.m. CET on our Facebook channel, will be an Interactive Research Talk around Ambisonics and the different ways to represent the sound field, spherical harmonics and possible improvements on the technology and techniques.
Our guest speaker, Miller Puckette, is known as the creator of Max and Pure Data. He has been a visiting professor at Columbia University and the Technical University of Berlin, and has received two honorary degrees and the SEAMUS award. Now is a professor of music at the University of California, San Diego.
