Erica Villa

Erica graduated with a degree in Biology (specialization in Oceanography) at the University of Padua and completed a Master’s Degree in Science Communication at SISSA – Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati, in Trieste. After working as cultural mediator for the UNESCO project “La Navigation du Savoir” in Villefranche-sur-mer (France) she worked for Il Pensiero Scientifico Editore, a scientific and medical publishing house, then for the press and communication office of the Italian National Institutes of Health and of the Italian National Transplant Centre, part of the Ministry of Health.

Since 2017 she in charge of communication, public engagement and programming at Science Gallery Venice, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and in 2021 she co-funded Logon an association that aims to study and narrate human behavior in science, technology, communication, art and complex systems. Through training, research and development, exhibitions and interdisciplinary activities, Logon aims to prevent phenomena such as early school leaving, cyberbullying or hate speech, tackling educational poverty and promoting digital literacy.
