Climent Nadeu received the Doctoral degree in 1982 from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), in Barcelona, where he currently is Professor of the signal processing area and co-founding member of the Speech Processing Group. He was the first Director of the Research Center for Technologies and Applications of Language and Speech (TALP).
During sabbatical leaves, he has been a visiting researcher at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill (NJ), at the International Computer Science Institute, Berkeley (CA), and at Griffith University, Brisbane (Australia).
He has more than 200 publications in books, scientific journals and conference proceedings. His main research interests lie in the areas of speech technologies and general audio processing and classification.
