Re-FREAM – Rethinking fashion 2020

Call for artists and designers

Re-FREAM is a collaborative research project where selected artists and designers team up with a community of scientists to rethink the manufacturing process of the fashion industry.

The goal is to develop new concepts for the future of fashion by means of new processes and aesthetics that are inclusive and sustainable. Awarded artists will receive a grant of 55,000 Euros.

Re-Fream is a STARTS Lighthouse Pilot. This kind of projects support research seeking radically novel technology solutions to major challenges for industry and society, in close collaboration with artists. There are currently 2 STARTS Lighthouses running projects, that aim at guiding EU innovation actions towards more systematic inclusion of the arts.
