BUEN VIVIR UNDER DISPUTE

April 13-15, 2026
S+T+ARTS Buen-TEK Symposium + Public Program
BUEN VIVIR UNDER DISPUTE: Living agencies of bodies, territories and technologies
Location – Barcelona Supercomputing Center and Hangar – Barcelona (ES)
Hosted by HacTe and Barcelona Supercomputing Center

Microbiomes, jungles, spirits, archives, storms, machines, artificial intelligences and collective knowledge appear as constitutive agents of the world and bearers of ecological, historical and ancestral memory. The body emerges as an extension of disputed territories, while territories unfold as a sensitive prolongation of the body.
These practices are conceived as relational and symbiotic technologies — forms of situated knowledge that act as strategies of resistance to extractivism. Technologies are reconfigured through water, clay, plants, sound, and experimental practices.
Over three days, these meetings bring together participants from four S+T+ARTS Buen-TEK residencies across South America, creating a space for exchange between different ways of researching, creating, and mediating.
