Yann Deval will showcase the prototype of ATLAS residency. Thanks to smart glasses visitors will discover an interactive and scenographic exhibition.

The panel will discuss how the arts ­ their unconventional exploration of technology and their critical view on the value of technology for society – can contribute decisively to human­centred innovation and technology that integrates more gracefully into society.

Marie Albert, project manager, STARTS EU program
Marie Albert works at French Tech Culture in Avignon (Fr), the first european ecosystem dedicated to culture, heritage and tourism 4.0. French Tech Culture is one of the operator of the VERTIGO STARTS residencies program. This pilot project is financing long­term stays of artists in technology institutions to allow jumpstarting collaborations between artists and technologists.

Yann Deval, interactive designer, motion­designer, musical composer.Y
ann Deval works for the film industry (Mood Indigo by Michel Gondry, The Brand New Testament by Jaco Van Dormael), music­videos (Puggy, Sacha Toorop), documentaries for Arte, tv­shows for France Television)… Yann is part of the VERTIGO STARTS residencies program. He will present his collaboration with the PAL (Performance Augmentation Lab) of Oxford Brookes University, around the ATLAS project, a work between digital arts and visual arts, under the form of an interactive and scenographic exhibition (a mix between real models and an interactive virtual world).

Sophie Lamparter, co­founder of DART 17
Sophie Lamparter’s most recent initiative is DART 17, a testing lab for interactive projects in San Francisco. Her passion is finding new ideas and talent with a creative approach to technology. Sophie has served in the Ars Electronica jury for the STARTS Prize, 2 prestigious and highly endowed awards attributed to innovative projects at the interface of science, technology and art.
